Gulp,,,,,

I hope this is a small bump in the road. I just hate when things start out this way.

It sucks because he is our #1 draft pick this year and we would love for him to at least half as good as Suh this year but we actually have depth so I don't think this injury hurts the team much right now.

No sweat. We have Williams and Hill sitting there, looking huge and ugly. Fairley wasn't likely to start for a few weeks anyway ... a little bump in the road, but nothing more.

Let's remember. This guy's a rookie defensive tackle. He's not Suh. Repeat. He's a rookie tackle, not Suh. He's not going to immediately dominate like King ndamu-KONG did.

I am not worried about it, he'll be behind all season. I am sure they are giving him homework giving him the defensive plays and audibles.

You know, I never thought of Fairley while watching the game the other nite! Not that we can't use him, but it sure was nice not thinking bad things about the Lions front office for a first round pick that got hurt right away -- as silly as that is. The depth at the DL position is scary, they just kept tossing guys in and most of them performed very well..............

This is why I really questioned our drafting. Fairley is hurt and could miss some time. And....so what? At most he was going to be situational. At worst, he wasn't seeing the field anyways.

It should only be 3-4 weeks. I expect talks about him playing starting in Week 2 or 3. That's not such a long wait :)
