I can remember when this forum was the hot bed of discussion. Harrington, Kircus, Millen we all lionized and criticized at the same time. Now when the Lions are actually a bonafide team with a future, most of our members are caught up in other things and have little time or desire to join in . Shame really. Its not often where a group like we had shared what they believed or hoped. Heres to better days

Here, here ... although I must admit that downtime was our biggest achilles heel ... with the last shutdown being the longest, and creating the biggest migration to other Lions boards.

People's lives change constantly and unfortunately this site wasn't able to be given the hard work and time it was given in the past.

That said, it had some great glory years. I believe once this hosting subscription runs out, Dan will put her to rest for good. She was his baby ... he nurtured her, heel her when she got sick, and will ultimately put her to rest. :fiddle:

Was a real pleasure being part of it all, though. Had a lot of fun prodding you old boys around here, and tailgating with the core crew as well!

There was indeed some heated albeit civil differences of opinion. Its just not the same on the other boards...I had a great time keeping up with TLF and its members.
We had some very colorful posters..Oh well, Go Lions

So very true! I miss popping in for honest opinions from people I felt like I knew and could respect. Even some of the people who occasionally "pushed the envelope" usually offered great thoughts about "our Lions".

It isn't the same for me, trying to follow our favorite team on the other boards. I'll just use the conventional means of keeping up, plus I'll head down to most of the games. This is probably my last year for the 50 yardline seats -- it's too much of a hassle making sure they get used -- but I will probably take my chances on scoring tickets for individual games on occasion.

I'll miss you all, certainly the long-time members and many of the new contributors, and wish you all the best of health and the chance to enjoy what looks to be a renewed Lions organization.

A big thanks to Dan for creating TLF and holding it together through some tough years.

Go Lions!

This definitely was the best Lions site on the net. It is sad to see it in this shape but I guess with the crashes and the extended downtime people have moved on. I truly wish I had more time to drum up some interest in this site as I am sad to see it go. I really only have two people I talk Lions football with these days so I miss the debates on here a lot. But with work, going back to school (MBA), and recently having my first child I have hardly any free time to do anything. Although I never meet any of you I loved the time I spent debating our favorite team with you. But all good things eventually come to an end. Good luck to everybody in whatever life throws your way and Go Lions!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats Windy. Well if this site is close to death, I will miss all the good times we had around here. Protests, uniform designs, ect. I miss Deb, Dan, Jack, and all the other fellas. You guys helped me when my mom passed away from cancer. I can't believe it's been 9 years since she has been gone. My dad is still kicking, a lot of health issues, so I am taking care of him. He misses mom so and I know someday not too far in the distant future, he is gonna be up in heaven with her again, my step sister Yvonne who died young in a car accident, and everyone else. I hope everything is going well for everyone that has moved on or still checks to see if this site is still up. Wish the hackers and such would have never hit, but it is what it is. I am still around on Lions message boards, so I can still be found, and I am on facebook so I know a few of you can keep track of what I am doing. LOL

GO LIONS!!
