The Awesome front 4 of the Lions D kind of petered out toward the end of the season. The Lions need a Jared Allen type of Pass rusher and maybe a Linebacker type that can come in as a specialist. And its fairly obvious that some secondary help is necessary. Another Monster Safety and some CB help

On Offence I think we need some upgrading on the O-Line. They Played decent this year, but we need a running game, especially against playoff calibur teams. More time of possession for us and keep the other teams defense on the field. There may be a few free agents interested in coming to the Lions after this season. Hopefully a couple of O-Linemen and maybe a pass rushing specialist. DB's are often way overpaid as FA's. So I think thats where draft should concentrate. Maybe an upgrade on the DB coaching area.

We need to do some politicking so refs will look at the holding going on inside. I don't think they'll call holding on anyone other than an OT or a DB. The Packer and Saints Guards are some clutching, holding fools. I really think the refs are trained to key in on certain things to determine if there's a worth-while holding call. They're not looking for those things on the inside, where our defense is centered. We either need to convince the league to pay attention or change schemes.

Levy had flashes of good plays, but overall a disappointment. Durant and Tulloch provided the best LB play we've seen in a decade.

Houston, Berry and Wright need a truly skilled guy to join them. A Champ Bailey, Assante Samuels type that could really strengthen them. When Houston goes down, they're all in over their heads. Alphonso Smith probably isn't back. He's not a special-teamer and is too inconsistent when he's called upon.

Spievey did not step his game up this year. If Erik Coleman didn't get injured, he'd be our starting safety alongside Delmas.

On the offensive side, I just want my IR'd players back.

I think the back end choked more.
